Materials relating to the negotiations over the organization of the Minnesota House of Representatives during the 1978-1979 session. At that time, the House was evenly divided between Democratic-Farmer-Labor and Independent-Republican members (67 members each). Irvin N. Anderson represented the 3A District (Koochiching County) from 1964 to 1982. He was Majority Leader (Democratic-Farmer-Labor) in the House from 1973 to 1977 and DFL Caucus Leader in 1979.
